The fifth span of the new bridge has been raised

Today, another section of deck, between Piers 7-8, has been raised on the construction site of the new bridge. Raised to a height of about 40-meter, the new section is 50-meter long, with a total weight of 609 tons, including the 2 side casings. There are therefore five decks now visible, with a total length of 250 meters, 200 of which are consecutive.

In the meantime, other work is also continuing on site. On the west side, the elevation of abutment A has started, and works on the plinth of Pier 1 and the raising of Pier 2 are proceeding. On the ground, the assembly of spans 3-4 and 8-9 continues.

On the east, instead, the raising of Pier 10 has started, while the raising of Piers 11, 13 and 16 is proceeding. At the same time, the plinth of Pier 17 is being constructed. On the ground, the assembly of spans 13-14 and 15-16 continues, and the work area for span 10-11 is being prepared. Meanwhile, on the ramp connecting with the A7, work continues on the foundation piles of abutment A and Piers 1, 2 and 3.
