While some Piers rise over 25 metres, steel processing swiftly goes forward at the construction site
Work on the "PerGenova" bridge construction site proceeds at full speed.
On the west side, construction work on the plinths of Piers 2 and 3 continue, and Piers 4, 5, 6 and 9 continue to rise. In particular, Piers 5 and 9 now exceed 25 metres in height, and are clearly visible on the horizon, next to the high cranes. On the same side, the construction work for the A abutment is scheduled to start this week, as well as the assembly of the spans 5 and 6 is scheduled to begin.
On the east side, instead, work are to begin on the foundation piles for Piers 12 and 16; during the week, after the arrival at the site of the steel segments of spans 14 and 15, their assembly will begin.
Moreover, this week the steel elements that make up the spans 8, 9, 15, 16 will arrive in Genoa by sea from Castellammare di Stabia, bringing the number of spans being prepared to 7 out of 19.
